Due to the recent success of her documentary film, I Am You, which premiered at the University of Houston Downtown in October 2018, Khaliah has put the wheels in motion to executive produce a new and more powerful docu-series about diversity and inclusion. She is the founder of Nap Bar, a self-care, health and wellness program that aligns with corporate and organizational health care. Nap Bar is currently in development with several companies who are interested in bringing the concept to their offices, accenting rows of cubicles with relaxation and napping space to create allowing people to take a 20-26 minute power nap during the day in a dedicated sanctuary to unplug, reconnect and recharge as a human. We believe in offering sustainable rest so staff can be more productive during the day. The company is curating sustainable rest that will equal sustainable productivity so you can go back into the world and finish first. NASA recently conducted a study that a 26-minute nap increased productivity by 54 percent and alertness by 34 percent.

A Poem About Diversity by D. Steed

We are not the same.
Our differences are uncontrolled.

We are not the same.
So it is you I want to know.

You see my core is your core
Only a change in coat

To be included as one
is all that I can hope

Accept me as your neighbor
and please count my vote

For all the rules have been broken
One remains afloat

Treat me like you want to be treated
And together we are gold.

Making a Difference

The Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation

Our mission is to dedicate and make a difference in the lives of others by giving back increasing ALS awareness in Houston and surrounding communities. We encourage you to get involved via your time, talents or treasure to help The Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation reach its goals.

During the summer of 2001, Khaliah Guillory found out that her mother, Cynthia A. Guillory (Woogie),  had been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. After a tremendous struggle, Cynthia passed away in the fall of 2002.  Khaliah vowed to her mother before she passed that she would help continue her legacy of philanthropy and founded the Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation (CAG) in December 2011.
